iLAND Resilience Media Liaisons
Tanisha Christopher - Montserrat
Tanisha Christopher represents the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) as the Media Liaison for its iLand Resilience initiative in Montserrat. In this role, Ms. Christopher has so far been able to maximize media coverage of ongoing programmes such as the Montserrat National Trust (MNT) Rain Water and Solar Powered Harvesting Project, the Blakes Slope Stabilization Project and the Collins Ghaut Flood Management and Slope Stabilization Project. Ms. Christopher is a journalist by profession and currently holds the position of Multi-Media Editor at Radio Montserrat (ZJB) where she is responsible for managing the stations online media content. She holds a BA (Hons) in Journalism from the University of the West Indies (UWI) is co-founded the youth nonprofit group Sunrise Productions.Contact number :1-664- 496-7614
Glenroy Mervin Blanchette - St. Kitts & Nevis
Glenroy Blanchette is presently the Media Liaison for the OECS iLand Resilience Projects in St. Kitts-Nevis. He is responsible for providing media reports and promoting public awareness about the New River Slope Stabilization and Erosion Control Measures project in Nevis, the OECS Revised Building Code project, and the St. Kitts-Nevis National Climate Change Adaptation Strategy project. He is a freelance journalist and a lecturer in Geography and Science & Technology. He holds a BA in Geography (UWI) and an MSc in Risk, Crisis & Disaster Management (University of Leicester). Mr. Blanchette is a past Assistant Managing Editor of the Democrat Newspaper and a past Editor-in- Chief of the St. Kitts-Nevis Independent Newspaper. Delia Louis - St. Lucia
Delia Louis is the Media Liaison for Saint Lucia on the OECS/GCCA iLAND Resilience Project. She has over 11 years of experience in Media, Public Relations and Marketing, and is currently undertaking a Postgraduate qualification in Business and Marketing Strategy.
As an iLAND Resilience Media Liaison, Ms. Louis is tasked with providing media coverage of key project activities; relevant events and activities of national importance and promoting climate change and sustainable land management best practices.Contact number : 1-758- 714-4597
Onika Perchia Campbell - Antigua & Barbuda
Onika Campbell is an Entrepreneur, Communication Specialist and Journalism & Law Lecturer with professional expertise in the areas of Climate Change, Data Journalism and Sustainable Development. She worked as an editor at Caribareana.com, Crusader Radio and a co-author for a book published by IICA /CTA Caribbean Agriculture Our Way. Ms.Campbell also worked as a Journalist for numerous regional and international media outlets and is also a multiple International Award Winning Journalist for Excellence in Journalism (PAHO, WHO). She received her educational background and professional development from the Montego Bay Community College, University of the West Indies Mona- CARIMAC, University of Missouri School of Journalism, University of Austin Texas Knight Center, and Ithaca College.
She has managed multi public relations campaign for GEF, IWCAM, UN-Habitat, UNICEF and ILO. She is currently working as the Antigua & Barbuda Media Liaison Specialist for the iland Resilience OECS –GCCA EU Funded and is charge with the responsibilities; under the execution of a Physical Development Plan for the Cashew Hill area to execute strategic communication approaches to educate and sensitize the populace about Climate Change adaptation and Sustainability.Contact number :1-268- 464 -1212
